Hello, I'm just wondering that if anyone has any knowledge of the CF-D12HB, series of fans, just as in weather or not they are worth it to buy. Anyway, thank you to anyone who looks at this topic.
Cougar fans are really good, just stay away from the PWM-varieties, unless you have a voltage-based fan controller (or if you plan on running them full speed all the time.) The PWM circuitry they use is cheap, and make this higher-pitched whine which, while not terrible, can grate on your nerves. The rest of the fan is robust, and of good quality.
PWM circuitry aside, they perform great, both in terms of being quiet, and providing good thermals. If people don't mind paying the small premium, I usually recommend them. Since most people don't want to spend over $10 on "just a fan" I usually end up recommending something else.
