a friend of mine wants to sell me his dell 30in monitor for $350. depending on how much it would cost to get the cracked screen fixed im thinking about buying it. does anyone have a ballpark guess as to how much it would cost to fix?
From what I did a little research on, it'll probably cost about $150 knowing my luck
for 350 better buying a new one
that would depend on how much it costs to get it fixed if it cost 500 to get it fixed then yeah it probably would
Is it the IPS model or not?
he said the monitor is 3-4 years old
so i dont think its the ips panel
Dude...Why would you even pay that much for a 3 -4 year old non IPS monitor? You can get a new one for that ballpark price.
old generation 30in panels still look decent, cheapest 30in new panel i can find is 1150bucks
Unless its an Ultra Sharp U3011 it isn't worth the hassle for the price. If you aren't dead set on a 30" you should check out 27" monitors. That seems to be the sweet spot for monitor size to price ratio. You can get a good Samsung 27" monitor for around $450.
Indeed indeed
I've always told myself that I'm going to go big as all hell on my next monitor purchase.
I have a desire for a 30 inch IPS or a 30 inch LED, but god knows I'd be poorer than a church mouse after that.
