Corsair Vengeance 2100 frozen

This is a psuedo-guide on how to fix the Corsair Vengeance 2100 headphones when they 'freeze' with the blue and amber solid light stuck in the solid state.

Corsairs' recommendation on how to fix the headphones is to leave them sit until the batteries are dead almost 14 hrs.

I decided that was too slow and took my screwdriver into my own hands.

In order to fix the headphones with my method you will need:

screwdriver (tiny)

razor knife (optional)

You will be dealing only with the right cup of the headphones.

take off the soft padding

using the razor knife (fingernail will do) stick it under the blue padding. The padding should pop right off with just a twist

Once the blue foam is off you should see 4 screws remove these with your small screwdriver. Please note these screws do need a fair bit of force.

You can now open the cup (take care not to rip the wires off)

You now see the battery pack a pcb and a connector on the pcb. disconnect the connector and make sure the blue and amber lights are off.

Plug the connector back in put the headphones back together and use normally until corsair gets there butts in gear and fixes this rather large problem.

May or may not put pics in later.
