Pistol is considering making a versus video comparing ALL of the 12 side button mice produced by major companies. Let us know in the comments below if that is something you'd like to see.

This is a companion discussion topic for the original entry at https://teksyndicate.com/videos/corsair-scimitar-rgb-optical-mobammo-gaming-mouse

Oh thank god it doesn't have the tramp stamp logo.

A comparison video of the MMO/MOBA mice would be awesome. I don't play much of either, but being able to map them to different functions is great for productivity.

This is the exact video I was looking for about 2 months ago. I can tell you, there's not a lot of really good coverage of that mouse in particular as far as how it compares to others.

I pulled the trigger anyway and have been using it for about a month and a half on linux, and it works pretty well, though there are some weird double click issues from time to time.

I would be down to watch a video regarding this as I have been considering this mouse, I have a Razer Naga 2012 that I like using but is starting to get pretty beat up.

Mice comparison? Yes please. There aren't that many good ones. And be sure to add an honest review of the Tek Syndicate mouse (Probably stuck in customs, ei?).

Ahh.. a soothing voice and an informative review of a mouse. A very nice thing to watch after coming home from college courses and feeling like a hooker after a hard days ****.

To make my post on-topic, I would like to add that a video with Pistol, regardless of content, could not really be a bad idea as it seems the internet loves her. As far as 12 side-button set mice I don't play anything other than FPS's really, but I could imagine that in the future I may be able to use something like the corsair for programming, using hotkeys for something, maybe? Who knows?

Yes would like to see that comparison video.

Good in-depth review without being too long, excellent points made, smooth and silky voice. You should do more videos or narration, it's relaxing hearing you talk.

The only I would improve is the lip-smacking/mouth noises. Some people don't pay attention to it, but once you hear it repeatedly you can't unhear it and it gets annoying fast.

I wish they had the hot swap pinky area on the right like the naga 2012.

He needs to start his own ASMR channel...I could listen to that all day.

Anyways, yeah, I really liked the design and the RGB, I'm glad, however, you guys ragged on Corsair for that stupid yellow accent....argh, that really killed this mouse for me. I mean, you guys mentioned it was getting caught on stuff at first too, which was kind of a negative mark towards it as well, and I'm not a fan of braided cables. I have a fairly relaxed cable - far less stiff than what the Scimitar's cable looked like in that video, and the braids on this thing always snag on something.

I can forgive maybe 1 of these things, but the coloured accent, the mouse having trouble traveling, and the braided cable...3 things...I just can't do it.

I would really like to see a comparison video!

Map keys for DAW's like Ableton Live 8/9. Instruments or other functionality would be made easier, or Photoshop brushes or layers, filters etc

I always like to see tech reviews. Personally, I like relatively quick informative in-depth reviews with information besides specs and measurements. This is the best review I've ever seen. Argue with the product all you want the point is the review.

Edit: the last part wasn't pointed at @wendell it was for those pesky people.

I don't get why @Rooster buys something he doesn't like aesthetically. I personally like the black-yellow combination. Besides when put your hand on the mouse you are not going to see the LEDs so what's the fuss about.

Well looks like a really good mouse. I like having extra buttons on my mice because I can do all kinds of stuff with them. I'm wondering if reach the third and fourth row of buttons is comfortable enough and if accidental press of the wrong button is frequent or not, since they're all crammed in a little space. I ask you guys because I've never had a mouse like that.

Yes, the CUE software is really buggy and the mouse usually stops working a couple times a day for me; Corsair is working on a fix though. Also, custom lighting patterns don't work with the Scimitar. You mentioned it a bit that the mouse seems to catch sometimes, but for me I notice a constant drag as the mouse doesn't glide smoothly. I really want to like the mouse and Corsair did a lot of nice things with it, however, eventually I shelved the mouse in favor of my trusty G602.

Thanks for also doing a review.

Alright, Rooster, super-important groan-worthy question: what kind/style of hat are you wearing? I want it.

Yes. I have the Logitech G600, so the comparison is quite pertinent.

I have no idea really, it was left at my place by some friend after a huge party I had back in 2011 lol. No idea where he got it from, probably some place like Hot Topic back then.

It was a review sample. I did not purchase this. Great mouse, except for the few things I mentioned.

Lol, thanks I suppose :P
