I tried running my ubuntu install on 4.7, but it wouldn't detect my k70 lux. I just tried to run fedora off of a live USB and got the same results. Lights come on but no functionality on the keyboard.
What's weird is it works in ubuntu mate 16.04 running kernel 4.4. Both with and without the ckb driver working.
I do have one image to share, which happens whenever i boot 4.7
error on the usb 3 port the keyboard is plugged into. I tried switching ports and the number just changed from 10 to 9 with the same error message. Could it be because I changed the default behavior of the keyboard on the firmware?
I didn't change anything. I just got the 4.7 headers and images dpkg them and then tried to boot 4.7. When it didn't work I just removed 4.7 and stuck to 4.4.
But the fact that it happens from a live usb too makes me think it's an issue between 4.7 and the k70 lux.
Ok, so i tried manjaro, but it only recognizes the keyboard when i boot with nomodeset. is there any reason why this keyboard isn't detected? What commands should I be running to find this kind of stuff out?
Well this issue is it doesn't even work once the system is handed off to the OS. It works in Ubuntu 16.04 with kernel 4.4 but anything above kernel 4.4 no matter what distro it doesn't detect whether or not CKB is installed or not.
That was something I tried in the live of Manjaro was installing ckb and it still didn't detect. The keyboard is just off completely, no lights or anything, like it isn't even making a handshake with the os.
Just boot into Windows and update the firmware of the keyboard through the CUE software. Then if you want CKB to work you have to install the newdev branch. Only issue with that is that the windows lock key and mute button does not have any lighting on it. But he rest of it works.
