Corsair K65 RGB keyboard working with linux (solved)

Logan, In your previous videos I saw you have the k65 RGB, as do I. I have recently installed Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 and this keyboard is causing a lot of problems, I wanted to know if you had a fix, or workaround. Its actually holding up my other USB devices, so when i boot there is a 2-3 minute delay before my mouse and keyboard start working. Soon thereafter random keys stop working. I'd rather not continue using my 5 dollar dynex keyboard. Any help from the community would be greatly apprectiated. just as a disclaimer, although I am learning quickly I'm still a total noob at this stuff.

My research turned up a corsair thread where someone recently has replied from corsair, no solution yet though. also I posted on reddit /r/linuxhelp where someone was actually very helpful.

EDIT: got everything working, see my reddit thread and thanks for the help :)

Have you tried those drivers yet?

yeah, someone just pointed those out to me on the reddit thread, thanks for your help though. seems to be working now

sweet! well, glad you got it working!

I know this is way overdue but it turns out it was actually my mouse this whole time, the corsair m65 rgb caused huge issues with linux. I have since replaced it with an MX master (which i love) because im tired of all this rgb shit but that was a while back. thanks for the help
