I have 6 icue link qx120 fans and a hub, all worked perfectly fine no problems then I did a fresh reinstall of windows to try and fix an issue with my dd wheel, since then my pc and icue no longer detects the hub and fans and I get no rgb at all, icue also don’t detect my asus strix b450 e motherboard. I also have to power cycle my pc to just get the fans to even spin. So when I shut down my pc, if I just press the power button to boot my fans don’t spin, I have to either switch it off at the plug or psu press the power button a few times then switch it back on and boot up every time just to get the fans to spin. I’ve had this issue a few months now, contacted customer support sent them the log they asked for, what they ask me to do didn’t work and was just told I needed to wait for a software update. I have no control of fan speeds and can definitely feel the heat more coming out of my pc. Everything is upto date including my bios. Any software, plugins necessary are downloaded, even other software don’t detect the hub and fans such as signal RGB.
Not sure if its the hub, the motherboard, icue or armoury crate or even a setting somewhere in windows 11.
Did you install the chipset drivers? Or you let Windows pick up all the drivers automatically?
i downloaded them off the asus website for my motherboard
I don’t know why, but it sounds like something may be missing for Windows to recognize all of the motherboard capabilities. Would suggest for good measure try to download all the AMD drivers from AMD directly: https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
Hope that helps to detect everything in the motherboard!
Also, do you see anything recognized as “Unknown device” or a device with a question mark when you go to the device manager? (Run devmgmt.msc)
the drivers were pretty much the same as the ones i downloaded off the asus website, still made no difference and no nothing shows up in device manager, I’ve gone through that thing a few times. My best guess is something with armoury crate, going through my event viewer the only constant error is AsusFanControlService.exe. I’ve tried starting the service manually but just keeps stopping.
thanks for trying to help
If you run the executable manually, do you get a warning? sounds pretty much like AISuite did not install correctly. Maybe try reinstalling the whole AISuite altogether. I remember I had to install it and then use EzUpdate to download all the appropriate software once.
And as a side comment: ASUS software is so awful…
no i get no warnings, it just stops. i tried installing AISuite but it don’t work i get remote procedure call failed every time i boot so uninstalled it with revo to make sure everything gets uninstalled so don’t have it. i have installed it and uninstalled it a few times but just get the same error.
im slowly figuring that out lol
Here’s a thread for a potential solution… apparently loading an installed version of AISuite may work properly: AI Suite 3 installation problems 3.00.13 - 3.00.60 - Republic of Gamers Forum - 811790
unfortunately i cant find a installed version to download, any links on that page either don’t work or are just sending me to other pages with solutions that don’t work.
Tried downloading different versions of AISuite and uninstalled armoury crate and reinstalled AISuite.
Tried changing some settings in services that was recommended, uninstalled with asus uninstaller tools and revo to make sure it was all removed properly. im completely stumped.
