Corsair has greatly improved the Bulldog. They also have some crazy new cases, SF power supplies, water cooling options, new software,
Corsair was showcasing an unbelievable amount of gear this year at CES 2016. The bulldog is quite a bit more solid than it was at PAX or Computex, and they have a lunch plan with prices!
George was also nice enough to show Paul the new cases. There were soem new SF power supplies to check out too. Lastly, we check out the GTX 980 Ti Hydro GFX that Corsair partnered with MSI to make.
Hi, I'm new here but have been following The Tek for quite a while and when these were up I couldn't resist mentioning how I've had my eye on the 600C since they were first announced. I like the clean style and have my desktop on a raised surface so the inversion is interesting. It'd certainly be a nice upgrade to the Sharkoon T28 (blue) I'm stuck with right now. To be fair to the T28 though it was super cheap and looked, performed fine as a starter case.
At £119.99 on UK Amazon it's a good price for the cooling upgrade I believe.
Looking at that 400C almost makes me regret getting this NZXT h440 for 40$ more. But I cant deny that the h440 has the best cable management options I have ever seen in a case. The 400 / 600 cases will have to prove themselves.
Ha Paul asked for RGB on the case... Ah ah ha ha ha ha they cannot even do full RGB on their Keyboards, barring the Strafe, that are advertised as RGB. Good joke, RGB.
No more optical drives, understandable just seems like one of those things that you might regret at some point like when you go to install a copy of that old game you still have buried in your closet.
I'm completely over the whole let's put LED's in everything phase. I don't need a disco party in my case or keyboard. I had to go with a G.Skill mechanical keyboard (KM780 MX) to get the volume wheel and the six G macro keys with MX Brown switches. Corsair doesn't have anything with those features until you step up to the way more expensive K95 RGB. They need to make a K70 with at least one row of G macro keys.
I think corsair nailed pricing. Lots of cases seem to be more bling and less utility The best part was George though. Love that guy. He just talks like he does not give a shit. Love it.
Grab a $20 USB one for the 3 times you want to do that instead of downloading from your favorite torrent. Optical is pretty much dead. No reason to clutter up the case with it.
I just re-watched this video while researching the H5 SF cooler, and realised that the system shown at 8:00 is like a factory built version of a ghetto special I ran back in 2013:
