Hello everyone,
As you may don't know (because I'm nobody hahaha) I'm from Colombia-South America, and today I want to share with you this outrageous thing that could be happening very soon in my country.
So this private entity called "Sayco-Acinpro"(which is allegedly an entity that ensures artist's copyrights) is charging royalties to public transportation companies because the users are listening to music and watching videos on buses, taxi cabs, etc (on their phones, mp3 players, tablets, the radio, etc(which is like normal everywere, right?)). So the National Assosiation of Transportation has decided that the users of public transportation will have to pay for that royalties, which means that the (bus, taxi cabs and any other means of public transportation) fares for using these means will increase exponentially in order to pay the annual fee of aproximately 17.000 million dollars (aprox. 34.410.000 million pesos).
So this is just WRONG, this "copyright" thing is just going to far worldwide and apparently it will go very very bad. This has to stop man, these corporations are just draining us like leeches. Anyways, it has not been implemented jet, in fact I just found about it today, and the media are being very quiet about that.
I hope that it will not be implemented, but things are looking very bad...
