Well, it's happened, Apple has officially stopped giving a damn about their products. The new iPhone SE is virtually the same as the 6S.
The iPhone SE looks almost 100 percent identical to the iPhone 5S, which didn’t change much about the iPhone 5 design from 2012. It’s familiar; holding and using the SE is exactly like holding and using a 5S or a 5.
We've been saying, for a while, that apple is just recycling products, but now it really shows. I get that it's supposed to hit some target market or something, but this is just rediculous.
To be honest, I don't think apple has cared about their products in a while. If they did, they'd market more to enthusiast markets and provide a better product for the price.
Well but isn't the price drop pretty substantial compared to the 6S ? I don't like Apple's philosophy and products, but this does not seem as such a bad thing to me.
Well, yeah it's not a completely bad thing, but I just like to pick on Apple. Especially because they feverishly deny that they just release the same products.
I thought they stopped giving a damn when they decided, "Oh you only need Iris Pro graphics in your 15 inch Macbook Pro, not a dedicated graphics card that we've been recycling for years that's only slightly better than Iris Pro graphics at this point......"
But that's just me. They probably had too many leftover iPhone 5s shells they made and never used. Guess the big phone haters can have their cake now.
I remember when the iPad mini 3 came out, it was just a more expensive iPad mini 2 with a fingerprint scanner (same body, same old a7 cpu, same display) and they said something along the lines of so much innovation in such a small package and I was literally pulling my hair out because it pissed me off so much
That's the point. A smaller phone that is faster than before and much cheaper. Allows entry into the apple ecosystem at a lower price. The flagship iPhone doesn't get announced until the fall. SE is just another option- nothing wrong with that.
