WTH is going on with Steam right now? I have had at least 5 Steam updates in the last 20 minutes. Anyone else having the same thing happen? Oh and with some of the updates they definitely screwed up Steam as once closing down Steam I was able to use my pc and internet properly again.
That sucks. Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the steam client?
DUFFMAN0651 I just decided to not update the client any longer. I will just use it to play games instead of worry about the update. In time the problem that I was having and others are having will get fixed. Btw I was using the Steam Beta version.
My Steam updates at least once a day on the Beta client.... The majority of the time if it doesn't update on the initial boot up it updates after it has logged in, says a restart is required then always fails requiring a PC reboot.
This here solved my problem and I am still able to use the Steam Beta. I am so thankful Beardface on Steam linked it.
I have updates quite frequently but it always works and the updates only take a minute so I really have nothing to complain about.
