Console to PC ( Idea's for a surprise £500 Gaming PC )

Hello, me and my friend ( I have managed to get him to convert to PC, he still needs to order a GPU & CPU but I have him suited out ) where thinking of building a younger member of our friend group who is into his games a Gaming PC. He really wants one but as he is only 15-16 and is still at school 5 days a week and no job he just can't afford one. Am sure if he knew more he'd save because he would know what to get but diving into PC is quite scary at first.. so many parts to remember to buy, set up when your starting haha!!

So, me and my friend a few years older than me are thinking of paying £250 each ( £500 build ) to get him into it.

Unlike me he likes to play a wide variety of games ( I stick with CSGO, Diablo, WoW, PoE, WoTR. But he likes buying new games and completing the story mode. He is quite a big fan of the Batman games.

So I was thinking an AMD build? just because we can squeeze out more performance for the price?

He will not need it for editing, just to reinforce :)

Any idea's? Thanks!
