Console Kill For A Friend

I don't disagree, but you haven't meet some of my mates who are console gamers. Even using a password to sign into your PC everytime is, umm, complicated for them :-)

the Joys of Linux include autologin ^_^

No need to Defrag ^_^

Free sophos Antivirus or Bitdefender Antivirus

etc

Heck, I would be willing to set the KVM up for him over the web. It would be faily simple and painless for the most part (for him).

Once the KVM is setup, he or you could install Windows in the VM like normal.

My logic was the consoles run on modified APU,  it makes sense that a more refined version of the console platform would outperform the consoles themselves. I've got an old A10-4600m laptop that I play some games on quite well. and amd has those Godavari chips coming out with an 870k around March I hear. that along with a GTX 960/70 would do 1080p all day. if your goal is a high end gaming experience you need money if your goal is to be better than a PS4 here you go

it's by no means high end but it is a console killer. It has wi-fi and bluetooth as well as a smaller form factor.

I would go for this personally.

Absolutely kills 1080p gaming. Emphasis on SSD, and GPU power, those are by far the most important for a good PC experience and good gaming imo.

No need for a K-skew CPU and cooler on a H81 board.

Source 210 sometimes has clearance issues with the Hyper 212.

Its an option. He can lways grab a z97 later.

Waste of money imo.  You'd have a H81 board laying around not really doing anything once you've upgraded.

Just my opinion, though.

Well, he's om the fence about buying a pc over a ps4 in the first place, and with good reason! That price point in unbelievable, but what I've assembled here is almost like a PS4 times 2 that he can do all sorts of things with. But I'm a people pleaser so here ya go. This Z97's tight, know I mean?

At this point it's not much of a console killer but a pretty damn capable gaming PC.
