Cons of switching to mac m1?

Hey all, I recently have fallen in love with my Hackintosh and iMac Pro machines, and ive just had an offer from my friend to buy my current daily driver what is my hackintosh with an (i9 10900, 16gb ram) from me for $1050 what i think is a fair deal since #1 I only paid $500ish for it in the first place & honestly its using so much power for all the little things i do, for eg all im doing is watching netflix, browsing fourms, discord My plans were to go and sell the PC and buy a m1 mini (8gb model) as I hardly use any of the ram on my current hackintosh & since it would be quieter, faster, and way less power and be able to use the machine without worrying if X or Y will break on the hackintinosh. Ant before i agree and go ahead and buy the Mini M1 is there any cons for the M1 hardware? macOS isnt an issue to me as ive been using it for weeks and my Only OS at home so only really looking for m1 specific bugs/issues i should be aware of.

Con: Since the M1 is ARM based you won’t be able to run x86 VMs. Performance is great but that’s a deal breaker for me.

No Metal support for Blender, I hear it’s planed for Blender 3.1, but it’s just a target, may be delayed if there are problems.

This may not be relevant any more, but something I’ve noticed is third-party hardware support is hit or miss. For example, Razer Synapse is no longer supporting new version of macOS. I feel like this is something that’ll be ironed out within a couple years, but you never know. And then I’ve also read some weird quirks like someone’s G604 bluetooth working fine before but no longer on the new Macs.

There are workarounds like razer-macos (based on OpenRazer) to control colors and SteerMouse to control keybinds, DPI, acceleration, stuff like that. And oddly enough, both of these programs feel better to use than Synapse because they’re not so bloated and they don’t require you to be logged into an account. You just install them and run, as good software should be. I’ll probably pay for SteerMouse once the trial runs out.

It’s kind of fun to mess around with stuff like this again. In Windows everything just works (when it comes to gaming hardware). On Mac, it reminds me of back in the day when I got into Linux and I was searching for alternatives to all the Windows software.
