Confusion over the PCIe Standard

Hello, I just need something clarified before I make a purchase.

3rd time writing this...MOAR BSOD PLEASE!

Here's my problem, the Killer e2200 NIC is causing my computer to BSOD. This has been happening at random times, or at least it seems that way. I've decided to purchase an Intel NIC for my computer. Here's my problem: I don't have a PCIe x4 slot on this motherboard. My question is this, if I install the Intel NIC into one of my PCIe x16 slots, will I lose performance on my graphics card?

I really would rather not lose performance on my graphics card just because I'm having issues with my NIC, and if it turns out that it doesn't, which NIC would you recommend?

Thank you for taking the time to read my rambling and have a nice day.

No, there will be no performance hit, even if you ran the card at x8.

Before you do something drastic unistall the driver and reinstall it (download it first,) and make sure that doesn't resolve your issue.

You would not lose any performance from your graphics card.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. You are my Batman. Anyhow, thanks.

I'll definitelty take that into consideration, before buying the NIC, but thanks for answering my question as well.
