Confirmation of Mafia III - not big gamer but can't wait for this!

"Mafia III is the next installment in the popular series
known for immersing players into a world of organized crime through rich
narrative storytelling and a beautifully crafted game world featuring
period-accurate cars, music, and fashion," 2K said in a statement.

More information about Mafia will be announced during Gamescom in August,
beginning with a reveal trailer on August 5 at 5 AM PDT / 8 AM EDT.
GameSpot will be on the ground at the German gaming event to bring you
all the news as it happens.

Can't wait to see the best upgrade for cars greyed out throughout the game, so you can download a completely irrelevant DLC to unlock it and other such shenanigans. But maybe they have learned a lesson from Mafia 2. Though, not bloody likely, it is the games industry we are talking about. They never learn.

I never noticed that. I couldn't get decent cars until quite late in the game but that didn't really bother me.

The hotrod's were sold separately even though they were used in a main mission. The blower you could get for most cars was only available in Jimmy's vendetta DLC. Jimmy who had no relevance to the main story or even existed in it. That to me was a new low for game companies tbh.

Oh right. I never even knew that.

While I get your point, and it is pretty shitty, I am okay with not having the extas in a game (especialy when I didn't even know they were there, lol).

I will say though that in simulation mode, Mafia 2's cars is among the most fun to drive I have ever tried in any game besides actual simulators. They really did feel like heavy 50's cars.

Especially in the snow! That is one of the reasons I loved Mafia II. The cars were so much better than GTA or the horrible piece of shit WatchDogs. The cars were muck in that game (I am glad I only paid €2 for it).
