Computer wont feed images to my monitor

I need help with my rig. I got my GPU back today (hurray!)but my computer wont feed any images to my monitor. I have a red VGA light on my Mobo no matter what slot I put my GPU in. (the mobo I have is the M5A99X EVO R2.0)

I've replugged everything in the mobo that I could and no matter what I do that red light is staring me in the fucking face. Do you guys think I have a bad MOBO or do you think it's the GPU

You say you got your GPU back  ... from where and why?

try gpu in another motherboard that you know works and that will be your answer.

I had to RMA it.

I don't have another GPU or Motherboard. This is my first custom built rig.

you have power plugged into your gpu?

I sure do.

try changing the video cable? not much you can do unless you can test with different known to be working equipment.

do you have a friend that has a pc that will let you install your GPU to see if is repaired?

  • Do you know what that red light means? Look in your mobo manual and see what that light is about.
  • Change the input on your monitor.
  • Does your motherboard post?
