I built my first computer half a year ago, it's been working great since, yesterday I was playing a game, then I went downstairs to eat dinner, went back up, and my mouse and keyboard got no power, the monitor didn't respond. I opened up the computer and everything was working fine, the fans, the lights, the graphics card were all working. The cpu fan wasn't working, but the copper pipes were hot to the touch, is this a motherboard problem?
Sounds like overheating problems.
Check idle temperatures and load temperature of the cpu and gpu.
List your full pc specs. Need more info.
I do agree with the overheating problem. Check for dust
AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte 990fx-ud3
8gb g skill sniper ram
3 tb seagate hard drive
256gb crucial m500 ssd
nvidia gtx 760
rosewill thor v2
xfx 650 watt semi modular power supply
I can't check temperatures, When I turn the computer on and monitor, the monitor says self test feature check or something like that
Also, make sure your CPU fan connector is seated properly. I've forgotten to do that more than once.
