hi guys, i am going to build an ivy bridge system but i do not know if i should go for ivy bridge or wait for haswell. I will buy my parts in roughly late Jan 2013.
Just wait for Haswell its supposed to be quite a good improvement
it will come out around april right? I have also heard that it has a chance to come out even earlier and it should use a new socket right?
Well, since you already said that you'd buy at 2013, Haswell
EDIT: Yes, Haswell will use a new socket; LGA1150, which is uncompatible with 1155 or any previous sockets.
Why? Because Intel practically owns the market and they know that they will be able to do this because people( who want the current best) have no other choice.
Also the fact that Intel is a mobo company themselves
oh well, if i knew that another socket was coming out next year, i shouldn't have reasearched on ivy bridge.
