Are these parts compatible?

I like how you just put "XFX" on the last line, lol.

You need a motherboard, some ram, a power supply, at the bare minimum to make that computer work.  I guess a mouse would be needed too.

Z77 MOTHABOARD>?!!!!!!

i would take the i5-3570K if youre going to use intel, and a Z77 motherboard

but i would take a AMD FX-6300 and HD 7950 over either intel chip and 7870

Again, the question was.... "Are these parts compatible?". I was wondering if these parts worked with each other, not if i should get something else. I don't want to buy a new motherboard or CPU.

So no need for a processor or a storage device.

Yes they are compatible Traxer you are good to go, may we recomend a proper cooler so you can stretch those 2500k legs a bit?

Everything looks good. The only thing I'd add in is a cpu cooler like John C recommended so you can give your cpu a nice overclock. Something like a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo (35$) or the NZXT Havik 140 (55$) if your case has enough room for it.

Thx, it is a build for a friend and he has a aftermarket cooler. He bought the i5 2500K and ASUS motherboard from me.
