Computer Boots but no signal to monitor

I Dont know if this is the right section in the fourm to be posing this but i asume my problem lies in the motherboard so thats my logic in placing it in motherboards. Im hoping the syndicate can help me fix this problem :) .

Please before i start i would like to say the following it disorganized and long so bear with me im pretty tired :) . OK so my computer starts normally when you push the power button, hd boots up, lights blink, ect, but there's no signal going to my monitor. now ive tried 3 different video cards in it including the on board video card and that didn't fix anything so you can rule out the video card as the problem, ive tried 3 different monitors with 2 different monitor cords so you can rule out the monitor and the cable. I've unplugged and re plugged every component in the computer accept the CPU, dusted the ram, tried different ram so i don't think its the ram.

Now this all started about 3 months ago when my power went out and the next morning i tryed to start it up. I turned it on and the same thing thats happening now happened no singal to monitor, but when i started it up it made a loud pop sound like popcorn popping. i reset it a few time and eventually it started to work again and its been working fine ever since. about 2 weeks ago i started it up and i heard another popping noise from inside the computer. and then last night i was painting and i accidently ripped the cord out of the computer and when i tried starting it up today no signal to monitor.

So it cant be the video card, it cant be the ram, it cant be the monitor or cord, so that leads me to believe its either the mobo or psu. What do you think?

if you have a diffrent computer, then try to switch the psu into another computer to make sure the psu is fine.

wich make psu do you have? wich motherboard gpu and processor?

my feeling says the psu. but could also be the mainboard, you can try to take out the mainboard from the case lay it onto the box of the mainboard connect the power supply insert the gpu and the ramm and so , and fire it up outside the case, it could also be some short cirquit in the case somewhere, maybe io shield lips touching  the motherboard, or some screws that cause short ciruits.

Sounds like the pci x 16 slot has fryed have you tryed a different available slot?

yes that also a good tip, wenn you have the board outside the case, also try diffrent pci-e x16 slots (if availeble)

but wenn the setup isnt working outside the case, then just RMA the mainboard ☺

Thanks for the tips, im going to try using a different psu and see what happens :) hopefully it will boot up.

just an update, the problem turned out to be the motherboard. time to build a new computer.

aah thats said :(  good luck if you need any advice just ask

grtz Angel ☺

every time my monitor gets a no signal its been my ram.
