Compatible M.2 Wi-Fi card for pfSense on a Dell OptiPlex 7050 SFF

I have a Dell OptiPlex 7050 SFF that I plan to use as a pfSense router. However, I’m facing limited connectivity when using an Ethernet connection to connect to the internet at the intended setup location. Can I install an M.2 Wi-Fi card for wireless connectivity, and if so, which specific models are compatible with pfSense?

The problem as you might have read on the pfsense documentation is that the chipsets used by a model of WiFi card can change with no way for you to tell when buying. So that makes it a bit hard. Best bet would be to search for the chipset and see what comes up, though if you can avoid using WiFi that will be your best option, even with a supported chipset it’s not a great experience.
