Compatible build parts? My first build

Hi,
I am now trying to undertake something far beyond me, building a PC from scratch.
And so, I need help. I have spent a few days now looking for parts and trying to research what does what, what goes where and how it all connects. I have found what I believe to be compatible(?) though a bit expensive.

Heres what I've found:

Corsair Graphite 780T Big Tower Black
- Fans: 2x 140mm Front, 1x 140mm Back, M/E/XL-ATX, 2x USB3.0/2.0, Red LEDs, Window

Corsair Hydro H100i GTX CPU Cooler
- 240mm Radiator, 115x//2011/2011-3/1366, AM2(+)/AM3(+)/FM1/FM2, 2435 RPM, 70 CFM

Corsair RM850, 850W PSU
- ATX 12V V2.4, 80 Plus Gold, Modular, 6x 6+2-pin PCIe, 10x SATA, 8x Molex, 2x FD

MSI Z97 GAMING 5, Socket-1150
- ATX, Z97, DDR3, 3xPCIe-x16, SLI/CFX, KillerE2205, VGA, DVI, HDMI, M.2

Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake
- Socket-LGA1151, QuadCore, 4.0GHz, 8MB, 95W, 14nm, Boxed, No fan incl

Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 32GB
- 1600MHz 4x8GB KIT CL9 HyperX Beast

MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4GB
- PCI-Express 3.0, "Twin Frozr V"

It's a long list, but if you have any idea please let me know. Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated!
This may be my machine of a lifetime :)
Tell me if there is anything more you need to know.

Edit:
Budget is 2400 USD / 20.000 NOK.
Intended for mostly Games and Video streaming.
I live in Norway, Europe.

What do you want to do with this PC? Game? Productivity? What resolutions will you be playing at? Will you be OCing?

To me this build is way overkill for gaming in terms of CPU power and RAM. Also that GPU isn't very good IMO. Your motherboard and CPU are not compatible. Skylake CPUs use LGA 1151.

Most importantly what is your budget and do you live in the US?

High end CPU with entry level GPU? What exactly are you going for? Your motherboard and CPU are not compatible. Also 850W is way overkill for a 960.

I want an all-round PC, Games & Video streaming etc. I will be at 1920x1080 resolution right now, then upgrade to 4k in a year or so. I realise the motherboard is not too good, I hope to upgrade in the future.
The point of the computer is more of a self-satisfaction thing, I may just go for 2x8GB RAM.
The CPU I would preferrably keep, It seems like it wouldn't become outdated the next next 5 yrs at least.

RAM isn't either.

What is your budget?

The budget is about 2400 USD, though it's scraping it hard.

Do you already have the motherboard?

No, none of it is purchased yet, the only thing I am certain 100% to buy is the case.

Really? Is 600W the way to go then? And should it be a i5 or something similar?

Oh good, incompatible parts are not very fun.

I reckon they are not, would be a mess to fix if you could find it after the fact.

If you've got $2400 budget, you can already build a pretty bad-ass system. But if you're going to stick with your decision, yeah, 600W for a 960 is more than enough. I'm not sure if you're familiar with pcpartpicker, but it can really help you with your build. It's can tell you whether there are compatibility issues, wattage estimate etc.

Maybe something like this?

Looks good man. Although you mentioned you wanted to up your resolution to 4k in the future so since you already have a budget of 2400, you might as well spend $200~ extra and get the 980Ti. You'll be set for 4k and since you're getting a 850W you'll have some headroom in case you want to SLI.

This looks really good, i would only change the small things like the DVD/CD Drive and Win. 10. Storage i plan on a 2TB SSHD + 4 TB SSHD.

This is a close copy of what im likely to use in the build.

As for the 980Ti, I dont get why it is better with 2Gb less memory except for SLI ability,
which im going for in the future. That i will have to sort out.

Thank you so very much for helping me out, @Nate1994, @imakandji, @DerKrieger,
It has really helped, and im not going to waste 2K on useless parts :)

That's why. The 980Ti is miles ahead of the 390X (Trust me, i have a 390 myself). What's the point of 8Gigs of GDDR5 if it doesn't have the processing power to push frames in 4k? The 980Ti is a much better 4K card. I wouldn't call it a "useless part". Other than that, good luck with your build.

I meant 2K as in incompatible PC components, haha. And I probably will go for 980Ti then.
