Community Recommendations for a case

im looking for something with at least 6 3.5 drive bays. 2+ 2.5 bays/mounts. 0 5.25
cooling.
preferably 360/420 front fan config.
not bothered about top mounted fans as im sick of my case being a dust magnet at the back. (antec 902 :scream: )
filterd front and bottom intakes.
price up to $170/£150, including shipping.

fractal r6 is an option for 6 drives but only 240 for fans :confused:
but pretty much everything ive looked at has been 3 or less.

the max price is firm and the hdd layout is a must.
but im struggling. :frowning: as most of what im seeing offer 2-3 3.5 bays.
so yeah recommendations please :slight_smile:

The larger BeQuiet cases have quite some internal space for 3.5" and allow for 360/420(?) radiators front+top. Darkbase 900 was on my radar last year, but I built a server instead and thus don’t need any drive capacity ever again. I think I calculated 10x3.5" drives + 2x360mm radiator would fit into that case.
You can even fill the 5.25" slots with IcyDock bays for even more drives+hotswap. Even on other cases, their 3slot 5.25" to 4x 3.5" drive bay is still tempting for me.

You can easily go old school and buy something like NZXT H440(H442 is updated better version).
It doesn’t have bottom intake but the rest is perfectly fine…

If you use 5.25" slots, they block the fans. So either 420 or 360 depending on your configuration.

I’ve seen Wendell using that case and Gamers Nexus had a good review on it too. Also can house all the E-ATX Threadripper boards.

But as alternative…search for cases with 6+ 5.25" slots if you dont want to go full server chassis but still want Hotswap across the board for 8 drives with IcyDock or similar products

The Define R6 does fit 360 in the front.

The Meshify can fit a 420 front fan layout and has 6x 3.5 mounts and 2x 2.5 mounts stock I believe.

Most cases can accommodate upteen 3.5 drives… but you may need to purchase the sleds

Sorry, the Meshify 2.

Although I did have a moment, it’s a 360 in the front not a 420. Definitely has six 3.5 hard drive mounts and two SSD sleds though.
