Already complained to netflix, guess I'll have to give comcast a call next. They better figure this out, I fork over enough for the good internet, mainly because I game, and gave up cable tv. Maybe I'll try and figure out the vpn thing. I don't feel like jumping over to AT&T/century link. At least this mayor isn't busy building bike lanes that nobody uses.
I liked the reason the Comcast CEO gave for the merger. "GOOGLE FIBER IS A SERIOUS THREAT AND MAY BE IN 2% OF HOMES BY 2015. WE MUST MERGE TO SURVIVE!"
If the bungholes would roll out there own fiber I wouldn't complain too much. The guy who installed my shit for me told me Comcast had zero intention of using fiber. Apparently he didn't even go with comcasts cable service, he uses netflix like the rest of us.
That also has me wondering, think I would get faster download speeds for steam if I use a VPN? Anyone try this?
theoreticly it shouldnt increase speed, but i have heard fishy things going on with the internet in USA.
