KVM Model:
Combo USB-C Power Delivery & DisplayPort 1.4 KVM - Dual Monitor
and
USB-C Combiner: DisplayPort and USB to USB-C
Problem:
type here
So, I just got the above KVM and USB-C combiner. I am connecting a windows desktop (via the usb-c combiner) and a macbook pro (via a Dell WD19TB thunderbolt dock).
On my windows machine, USB peripherals plugged into the KVM do not work. Both monitors light up just fine.
My setup:
Windows Desktop → via usb-c combiner with cables provided → KVM
→ club3d DP1.4 cable → KVM
Mac → thunderbolt dock → club3d DP1.4 cable + thunderbolt 3 cable @ 20gbps → KVM
keyboard and mouse → any of the KVM ports
I’ve tried unplugging everything and cycling the KVM, rebooting the computers, and trying different port configurations.
Edit: Solved. The USB combiner came with a micro-usb ↔ usb-A cable that i assumed was sufficient for using this. I added a usb A → B cable and things worked. I couldnt find any actual documentation on how to use the usb combiner so there was nowhere that suggested you needed both cables plugged in (and i only though you needed one since only 1 cable was included not including the usb-c on the other side)
