Cmstorm vs rosewill

looking for oppinions on a keyboard, thinking mx browns will be the best for me (noticing they're the most expensive), i think my choice is between a slightly used cmstorm quickfire pro for $60 or this rosewill for $80 or if anyone knows anything better please tell me (not more expensive, 80 is already too much)

so far i see the cmstorm

  • has a backlight, but it's only half the keyboard, in my book that's almost worse than not having a backlight
  • might be able to rigg up a full backlight
  • used
  • cheaper
  • has media keys (perfered but no big deal)

the rosewill

  • new
  • matches the colour scheme i'm going for without having to try and dye or paint a black keyboard base white
  • newegg is more trustworthy than ebay
  • more expensive when i'm trying to save money as much as possible

so does anyone have something they'd care to reccomend

To be honest i really think its down to personal preference for a keyboard and mouse. many people will have different opinions so go with your gut :)

go to goodwill and pick up the oldest keyboard

Beige ALL THE WAY

haha class

yeah, it's not like i just need any old keyboard, i got keyboards, just not good ones, though it might not be a bad idea to stop by goodwill *shiver goes down my spine* and see if they happen to have any mechs, probably not but it's worth a shot

well i stopped by goodwill *shivers* and though they didn't have any mechs they had a nice dell quietkey for $2, what looked at first to be alps switches turned out to be the best rubber dome keyboard i have ever used *probably*

though unless i'm advised otherwise i think i might grab the cmstorm, paint the base white, rip out the existing backlight, line the rows with blue electroluminecent wire, and have something really nice for cheap, decisions decisions

I have a CMstorm keyboard, The build qualtiy is extremely solid, exscpecially for the price. Not having a numpad isn't really that big of a deal for me, but I guess that's just preference.

i got a cmstorm quickfire rapid for $50 on newegg and it legitimately sounds like angels making love ermagerd. The build quality is also awesome and the detachable usb to micro usb is awesome because you can use a common cell phone charger.

CMstorm is BEAST

The Rosewill Rk 9000 is a much better keyboard because its a rebranded filco but the quick fire is decent too but the rk9000 is going to be higher quality.  I have a black rk9000 with cherry black switches and I really like it.  For gaming I think the reds are the best but the browns are the best all around typing and gaming switch.

Don't underestimate the quickfire, it's reviews are slightly better than the rk9000, and it's $60 vs $100

60 vs 80, but still, and it doesn't help me decide that i stumbled across the holy grail of rubber dome keyboards for $2 at goodwill *shivers*
