CMOS Checksum Bad

I am using a MSI 760M-E51 and an amd 1045t and when the system boot up the msi screen shows the error of CMOS Checksum Bad and i dont have a clue what to do to fix it.

You need to replace the CMOS battery. The CMOS hold's the date and time for the board.

Do i need any specific cmos battery or will any work?

Any new CMOS battery will work. Basically it's just a watch battery. Can buy them from any Walmart lol. Just take it out of the board and take it with you to make sure you get right size and voltage and such. You'll just have to reset your date and time.

Oh o k thanks for the help man really appreciate it

No Problem. Had to recently replace the battery in a Windows 95 computer lol!

Thank you it is now working luckily i had an old intel board that had the same battery and it was out of service so its all good
