i've been playing dayz and i have lots of issues, i have an 8350 and a 660 ti, and the rest of the components are decent, but i can not get dayz to stop lagging horribly i've tried dang near everything from getting dayz to use 8 cores to use more vram, messed with cfg files, and every other game runs absolutely fine, including arma 2, im not using vsync and no matter what setting i use its the same issues, i just want to play dayz at a decent, "stable" framerate in the wilderness ill get 35-60 which is jumpy as hell and wont be stable, in cities its the same, please does anyone have a solution, i see people on youtube run this game near perfect all the time and they have similar cpus to me, which im guessing is the issue, and does anyone play dayz with an 8350 or have an 8350? does yours have similar issues? please someone help
welcome to arma 2 servers thats what happens when you play online on amra not much you can do past making the settings optimized the graphics settings.
Switch up servers? Game ran 60fps for me @ max with a 4100 OC'd and a 660Ti,
well arma is a CPU heavy game not a GPU heavy game! Most likely it is your internet speed or the server you are conecting to.
I run a DayZ server called NYC66 and when we add AI or other mods depending what they are they have a effect on the server FPS wich is controlled of two variables CPU speed and load and internet speed. Try to find a DayZ server close to where you live. Also if you wana try my servers the website is www.nyc66.com. We run two servers 1 is the old version 1.7.6.1 becuase of the weapons and skins we have enabled wont run on 1.7.7.1.
The other is 1.7.7.1 running RMOD
The Ip Adresses are
1.7.6.1 is 8.2.122.12:2302
1.7.7.1 Rmod is 50.22.217.221:3085 (this server you will have to download Rmod and install it into your arma2 folder a tutorial and links can be found at www.nyc66.com in the forums.
its not my internet and im choosing good ping servers with different features and such but shouldnt an 8 core 4 ghz cpu be able to run just fine? (i tried launch parameters but they have no effect on my fps)
The game runs on one core on the server side. Try joining less populated servers and see of that helps.
If you have more than 1 gig of vram on your gpu then make shure you have the video memory set to default.
I can't even play DayZ anymore, seems as though everyone is using the British Armed forces DLC and such.
What does that DLC have to do with it?
In my opinion it's probably not optimized well, but I'm not the one to judge.
