Dunno if i’d go that, far, i’d suggest this is the standard we should be expecting from software, not be dumbfounded when it works.
However, if your SSD is doing two writes for every otherwise single write, then your performance will get tanked as well. Irrespective of longevity, you want the alignment correct.
Here’s a real world test of SSD endurance:
TL;DR I’m not terribly worried about my drive’s longevity.

AS above though, just check you’re aligned anyway, or you’re throwing away a lot of performance.
