This looks a very promising mmorpg.
I think that this could be a big succes.
I think it's too niche to be a successful MMO.
At the end of the day, there are MMO's that are/will be fulfilling the action part of controlling your character--Black Desert Online, for example; There will be Kingdom Come, as well.
I really like their concept and have no issue walking away from a theme park MMO like WoW but I can't get passed the part about playing by myself with my own story, in an MMO. I was waiting for him to say, "eventually, you meet up with your friends and do quests together that develop your characters' experiences together". For example, Here you will band together and take down X guild. But a story with little-to-no fantasy, means no large bosses (typical dragon/demon boss) for a collaborative take-down.
I really hope there's enough success in this title to at least cover the investment his family put into it. I don't want this game to fail; in fact, I'd love to see it bring some new concepts into the industry so I can stop playing WoW for good. But WoW's raiding and statistics keeps me at its grips.
I need more to chew-on, personally.
