Chrome?

Logan, why do you keep using Chrome? I really want to know? Why not firefox with NoScript addon?

Just give me some reasons why I shouldn't be using firefox or why I should choose Chrome over firefox?

i like firefox because it's updated more often which lends to the idea that it's more secure. i duno could be wrong.

Well, he might like chrome interface more. There are also things like responsiveness and differences in scrolling algorithm.

If you are happy with your experience with Firefox there is no reason to change. I have switched between nearly all the browsers over time. Believe it or not there was a time when Netscape was decent. I rocked Netscape communicator 4.04 for a good while. It just worked, the email client was nice to boot.

Find an interface you like and go with it. Trying the competition from time to time would be a good idea though.

Just for fun I found a picture of Netscape 4.04, now I see why I like chrome. The interfaces are pretty similar in function.

for me it's a simple case that Chrome is very quick so I prefer to use it.

Firefox is a solid browser, but a bit too memory hungry for my liking being just a browser

Erm... Chrome is way more memory hungry than Firefox. RAM usage is proportional to number of open tabs and surpasses Firefox at around 3-4 tabs already.

I have both Chrome and Fire fox, but i use Chrome more simply because i can sync all my bookmarks and adons to there servers and access them on any PC. The performance difference between the two is so small i don't care. And the RAM usage. Who cares when any modern PC has 4 plus GB's

That is one of the features I actually dislike cus if you make a simple mistake in the bookmarks and go like "hmm I delete these" then it's gone from the browser and the server which is so annoying. Now Everytime I add few new bookmarks I export the bookmark HTML to my PC cus I simply don't trust the server at all if something like that happens and there's no way to get them back. So if you've 900 bookmarks and you accidentaly delete them good bye add them again or have backup on your PC.

I personally don't use Chrome but Iron I've been using Chrome/iron for quite long time but I'm thinking both of them are missing some features that I'd want them to have hopefully in the future they will. Such as cleaning your history when you close chrome would be nice etc. Also set image as wallpaper or w/e it's called in English version. Also "show image" would be nice other than "open in new tab".

Other thing I wonder about Chrome/Iron addons is that some of the addons you agree them to use all your bookmarks, browsing history etc just look at them it's so strange..Why would addon need my browsing history?

I also asked from NoScript maker (I believe) which browser is better from security POV he said if you're willing to use firefox and NoScript that is the only browser you should use and he said that Firefox is getting sandboxing soon apparently. But he said if you don't want to use NoScript you should use Chromium. If you're going to say that there is alternatives for NoScript he also pointed out that they aren't good as NoScript on Firefox.

Anyway these are my thoughs about this case but I'm also thinking it's something everyone should personally think which one is better for their needs. Honestly I haven't much noticed difference in terms of speed compared to Chrome/Iron but in some cases Chrome/iron beats Firefox.

I use chrome for because I used to have a lot of problems with firefox, it would crash a lot and for some weird reason it lagged whenever it tried to access a website like it would take forever and sometimes it would just loop and never finish the process of accessing the website and youtube problems OMG it never showed the youtube player I thought it was youtube fault but when I changed to chrome problem immediately solved.

I prefer chrome because it's simple and does the job I want to do and I couldn't care less about miniscule speed differences.

i use internet explorer because im an idiot, you should also or you are an idiot

(trolling can be fun ;))

opera right here, cause im a hipster. haven't heard of opera? of course you haven't. that is why i use it.

...and now there's coffee on my keyboard.

I highlight both and hit enter. Chrome opens first so I use it. If I have trouble with a page formatting then I can switch. I used Firefox for a long time over Chrome but around Firefox 8 I went to Chrome. Firefox dropped off between 5 and like 15. I think it is a good second at this point. Just needs to launch faster.

EDIT: When I accidentally close a tab in chrome I can restore it. That's a very nice feature

Chrome has two deal breaking problems:

1. It natively supports flash, but can only make choppy HD HTML5

2. It uses the Windows native security certificate list, so you never can know for sure whether the website you think you're seeing is actually the real website, or whether you're being phished by Microsoft or anyone paying Microsoft to push a convenient "security update" to your computer that does nothing but open a channel for malware or other nefarious purposes. You can't even manage the security certificate list yourself, which is pretty bad. When you use Chromium, the open source variant of Chrome, and don't use it on a Windows system, and don't activate any Google services, at that point chrome is just usable, but has very very very few practical features in comparison to Firefox. Basically the only thing that is safer about Chrome than about Internet Explorer, is the fact that you know for a fact that the criminals that screw with your internet experience, have paid the Microsoft Tax.

If they're that deep in microsoft's pockets why couldn't they just post a malicious windows update? I think microsoft has a vested interest in the security of their platform considering that is a (the) main pro for mac computers.

The trade off for that, is if something on a page causes a crash, only that one tab crashes, not the entire browser.

I used Opera back when I had Dial up because it had great compression for webpages.

The same butthurt guy that keeps defending Chrome over Firefox is one that tells others to stop being fanboys. Firefox is clearly better.

You restore tabs in Firefox...
