Chrome, what you doing?

Okay, my parents and grandparents run into this issue with chrome on only their PCs. When ever you click on something there is a random chance it will open about five tabs with odd text in the URL bar. (I may post a picture to help if I can get one). I have no idea, I reset the PC to a time before this happened, I uninstalled and reinstalled chrome, and this still happens. Any help would be great, and thanks in advance.

Check if its a rouge plugin or extension. reinstalling chrome might not get rid of it, you might have to go to where the chrome folders are in appdata and delete them all. check they haven't installed malware. A lot of these things rely on the user installing a plugin or installing a piece of software that will modify the plugin folder behind the scenes.

Yeah, sounds like malware or a problem with extensions loading to me.

Did not try that yet, that was what i was going to try next if i did not get a response to this post.

I did remove all shown extensions. I have done a couple virus and malware scans.
Also I did do some ccleaner on the PC and removed 300GB! of stuff.
I'll let you know if it worked or not...

FireFox is masterrace, Js.

let me know if you can fix it, this is happening on my parent pc as well and no idea how to fix it

@Reso I was able to remove it by removing all extensions, deleting the appdata, reseting the browser (making sure when they sign in to click the box that says advanced restore and only restoring theme, passwords, BUT not apps or extensions). That seemed to work, and I am not sure what specifically caused the problem, but it was likely a faulty/buggy/glitchy/etc. extension.
