Choosing a monitor

Hi there,

I'm in the market for a new monitor but I don't know what to choose, my budget is max $200 and I will mainly use it for graphic design and gaming (nothing at a proffesional level).I was thinking of these:

DELL P2414H

AOC i2369VM

DELL S2340L (less likely to buy this one)

The thing is that I want something with a VESA mount (because I am thinking of buying monitor arms) and this is the main reason I don't want the DELL S2340L.

P.S I would also like the monitor to have HDMI since I would like to connect my XBox to it aswell (and I know that only the AOC one does have and trust me that if it would be available in my country I would buy it right now but it isn't and since a friend of mine will go to UK I will ask him to order it from there and bring it to me and I thought that I should ask here before doing that to be sure I will get the right monitor)

All of those monitors are ok but suprisingly th

e colour on the aoc is terrible.

if you want a thin bezel that aco also lets you down.

i would suggest something like a  Hp pavillion 23xi (its rather beautiful).

this also doesnt have a vesa mount but if you want a vesa mount with good but slightly worse quality than the hp (probably couldnt notice the differance)

you could get away with an asus ve247h i

ts a really good monitor and has a vesa mount. hope this helped :)

I use an ASUS VN247hp, my son uses an ASUS VH238... both work darn well for 1080 gaming, with very nice color/contrast/1&2ms refresh specs.  HDMI & VESA is standard on both.  Relatively affordable for their size. VH has a thicker bezel, but is more affordable due to size/specs, VN has a very thin bezel, with bigger/better specs... but costs more.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again for our second monitors or replacements.  Besides size and shape, I can't tell much of a difference as far as picture quality... after we adjusted the settings to our taste of course.  Good luck... and I hope that helps. Oh yeah... both have built in speakers, but neither one costs over $200.   In fact, you can find them online for around/under $150... if you really try.

The HP monitor doesn't have a VESA mount, the VE247H isn't available in my country and the VN247H-P is available but a little pricy (although it goes on the 'aprooved list'). And according to this guy that AOC is better than the HP. I am really confused :(
