Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - Anyone tried?

Hey guys first post here over on the forums figured I would kick it off in the PC Gaming section.

Has anyone taken a look at or even possibly gotten the chance to play "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare" it's not War of the Roses which was just recently released, this is another game set in that era of time and it is so much fun. You can cut off limbs, decapitate people, and best of all, throwing axe them in the face ;)

Here is a link to some footage I covered on it if anyone hasn't seen it and wants to know what it looks like. Keep in mind, it is in Beta so it's far from perfection to say the least.

It is in closed beta atm, I only got in because I am a YouTuber/Live Broadcaster, but you can pre-purchase it over on their site now and get beta access quicker than others, I know atm they are out of codes.

But what do you think of the rise of all of these First Person Medieval games coming out, cause this thing is so much fun. I'll play this over Call of Duty any day of the week, cause this is FUN lol

I would really like to play the game, hopefully it will come to Steam upon release. And yes, it does look like a ton of fun.

Qain and I played it at PAX East. It sucked because I couldn't invert my mouse... So it wasn't much fun for me. However, it did give me the Rune feeling... which is good. I can't wait to play it with inverted mouse. I think it looks more fast paced and crazy when compared to War of the Roses.

It´s like Battlefield 3 but without firearms. It also reminds me a little bit of Postal 2. Maybe because of the whole hack&slash thing going on. Are there catapults as well? I would totally become a catapult whore.

Yeah the best way somebody compared the two to me was that War of the Roses is a ton of time spent not getting a kill, then when you get one its so rewarding, then you get killed. Where as this game is like constant action, once you get a handle on how the combat system works its tons of fun.
