Cheep Hackintosh

So as I'm sure many of you have or do I support a larger user base at my current job. Some of these people are Mac users. I normally have no problem working with these users to resolve whatever issue they are having. It would be helpful if I owned a Mac as to keep myself familiarized with Mac OS and popular software packages. I have no need for anything fancy I will not use this PC to game or edit video ( at least not seriously )  It will simply be a educational tool for myself. I am considering building a Hackintosh PC to accommodate this need. I would like it to be as small as possible mITX if possible  I would like it to have a MOBO that is %100 comparable with OSX I don't want to mess with jumping trough hoops for the GPU ( preferably onboard )  or anything like that. also I have some DDR 3 and an SSD that I caould use for this build so I wont need to get them. I will need to obtain a copy of the latest OS.

Cheep is key.

also any advice on things I may run into when installing the OS would be appreciated as I haven't installed OSX since I think Darwin.

Thank you in advance for your advice and input.

This guy's blog details quite a lot about building hackintoshs and installing OSX on a custom machine.

i think i might make one of these when i build a desktop later this year so i don't have to use windows for it. i'm planning on moving to Linux as my main OS, but would need some access to OSX.

You might want to check if that motherboard is compatible, that you wouldn't have to install a patched bios or something. See if others have used the same motherboard in a build.

Gigabyte boards seem to be more compatible in general.
