Cheapest decent cpu cooler?

Cause for a while i have been using the stock cooler on my FX8150,and well....i just had my rig thermal shut down on me while gaming so i need a better cooler, but i don't have much extra money to spend right now.

So what is the Cheapest decent cpu cooler you guys would suggest?

Hands down the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. at $35 It's absolutely the best bang for your buck.

Do you think it could keep an 8150 nice and cool,if it helps with the stock cooler the idle temp is 37.5c,under  heavy gaming loads it would reach 85c.

Absolutely. I have one on my 8350, which is practically made of lava.

i know what you mean i once was messing around in my case after recently, and i accidentally brushed my hand after having JUST turned it off.

Well needless to say i was cussing up a storm lol.

I would imagine so lol, but yeah the evo is the best you're gonna get under (I dare say) $50. Unless maybe you go with the Noctua NH-U9B SE2, which IS $50, lol.

i just came across this,

But i am afraid about using it cause i have had bad experience with water coolers,i had a coolit domino ALC that went boom all over my old rig(q9450,gtx 460) luckily no parts died, but then they sent me a coolit eco II,which i put in my current rig,but then it quit cooling right,so i unplugged it(left it mounted but put in the stock amd cooler) to pull out after work, forgot it and a month later it leaked on my 7970 killing it....

I actually considered going with the seidon when preparing my current build, but I chose the evo instead because of space issues in my case as well as the price. I'd say from the research I did when considering it, it seems pretty solid to me but I can't outright condone it as I have not used it. You seem like you've had bad luck with water cooling lol. Anyways, my suggestion would be to independently research both the evo and the seidon, and base your decision from there. Good luck.

I think this is better than the 212 because is bigger, 140mm fan and 4x8mm pipes at the same price but I need someone to tell me if I am wrong XD because everybody recommends the 212

Heat pipe on that cooler are 6mm sir.

Agreed can't go wrong with the 212 Evo. If 50 bucks is not out of the question the Xigmatek Dark Knight II is still crazy good for the money.

are you sure?

Xigmatek Dark Knight wipes the floor with 212 evo, but 212 evo is so freaking cheap...For the price - there is no better then 212 Evo... If you can afford it - Xigmatek Dark Knight is much better...
