Cheap cooler for fx8120/8350

Hey,
I currently have the AMD fx 8120, and it's a bit of a bottleneck for my r9 290x tri-c OC. So I decided it's time to overclock it. Unfortunately, the stock cooler isn't sufficient. I'm thinking of upgrading to the FX 83xx series in the future, so I'd like a cooler which is good on that one too.

I'd appreciate your help with picking a cooler for my CPU. Keep in mind that I have the RipJawz RAM (only 2 DIMMS) so large cooling towers may not fit.

Thanks in advance

How much are you willing to spend?really cheap I'd go for the hyper212evo or something similar.

a little bit more and I'd recommend what I'm using. TS's video

anything more I'd recommend noctua before you get to watercooling

Im willing to spend up to 50$, but im worried about CPU temps.. Im getting 60-67 core temp (using Core Temp monitor) under heavy load, but AMD site says 61 degrees is max..

Yea I'd recommend the xigmatek cooler I described. I use it on my FX6350 @ 4.7Ghz and during gaming it never gets above 50C, On a stress test like aida64 it does get warmer, about 58C.

This is also with fans on lowest rpm (quietest) in push/pull and with tuniq TX4 thermal paste.

the community has some other favorite coolers around that price range though.

EDIT: dang, I just looked, my cooler is discontinued, well it was 2 years old.

I'd say, save up a little more an get a 240mm all-in-one. But I am being biased.

I've tested four coolers with my i5 2500k. One was the stock cooler which didn't have to endure any overclocking, and three were aftermarket solutions. A Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo, a Antec Kuhler 620 120mm all-in-one, and my current Corsair H100i are the ones that I've used. Sure, the 212 Evo's performance was comparable to the 120mm liquid cooler. The H100i, on the other hand, completely beats them both. It's also on sale quite a lot. I bought my H100i for $89.99 on Amazon.com.

My ripjaws fit under my d14. Personally, i would save twenty bucks and get a high end aircooler. Noctua D14 or a phanteks. Sometimes its beter to just go to the top. Saves money and time with little nonsense. There are decent aio's out there but they are not what i would call silent. Pump noise can be rather annoying. Mid level decent ? Cryorig or Be silent Dark rock

The d14s are 70 euros here, so that's really expensive.. I don't really care about sound, but are the Dark Rock 3's superior to the 212's?

Also, should I be worried if Core Temp says my core Temp reaches 65 degrees?

But the AMD site says 61 degrees max..

and your key switches are rated at 50million clicks, odds are it will go beyond that metric
