Cheap (and good) power line network adapters

I need some input on either experience or hear-say about low budget powerline network adapters mostly this one

Powerline network adapters in themselves really arent that good, you should use wifi or ethernet if you can

You are not going to find a "low budget" powerline adapter that is better than wifi.

You would be better off taping an ethernet cord to the ceiling, using wifi..

or spending $100 on a Belken Powerline adapter, which on average is in between wireless n and straight gigabit ethernet but at the end of the day you can only run these directly off of your power socket. That means no UPS or surge protectors are getting any say in what goes through your adapters. That also means that if you don't have outstanding power routing around your house (for example houses that were built before 2005) then you will run into efficiency issues with powerline every now and then, maybe even constantly.

tl;dr version: If you want a powerline adapter, you will be better of with wifi unless you spend $100.

ok thanks for the quick response ill keep that in mind when going for a powerline adapter in the future
