Hi TekSyndicate.
This is a question more so for Wendell in responsed to the XS712T Netgear Video. What is your though on the D-Link DGS-1510 Series switchs with 10Gbe Uplinks.
The D-Link DGS-1510-28 having 2 SFP+ for $355 AUS
The D-Link DGS-1510-28X having 4 SFP+ for $629 AUS

@wendell may know more as well as @DeusQain that man loves his networking :D
Though let me start off with.. as unfortunate as it is.. 10GBaseT isnt exactly cheap yet.. I would know I run it.. haha uhmm not sure as I used the netgear box as wendell used in his review.. (OH ITS SO PRETTY AND NICE) but I would suggest 4SFP+ if your paying that price due to the fact that you have more lines you can run and can support more computers but it really depends on your needs.. A little more information about what you are trying to do would help.?
I was more so just looking at it with interest... in saying that... all my data I store on my nas and only have a single 500GB ssd in my main system.
I use a C2750D4I Asrock Rack mobo in my nas with a team to get 2gbe to my network. and a Desktop CT NIC and the intel onboard nic on my ROG mobo... I often host LANs... Why not have a 10gbe server as u can get used 10gbe intel x510 and x520 nics on ebay for around the same cost of four port gbe nics
