Channel separation on AP bridges

I’ve got a AP setup as a network bridge and from my testing, I can’t see any benefit of using channels 1 and 11 vs. 11 and 11. Is their any real benefit from separating the channels on the same network. Or does this mainly apply to areas with congestion?

Yep. If you have more devices talking (or trying to talk) at the same time, you can basically split them into two groups by using two frequencies. If you have little to no traffic, and only about a single device using the network at any given time, it doesn’t make too much of a difference.

There’s normally a few devices on at a time but there’s about 100’ between my main AP and the bridge so I’m assuming that the devices would be on one or the other. I’m not entirely sure how that would be managed on my network.
