CG PC Workstation

Hello guys,

I'm about to build a workstation as mentioned in the topic it will be for computer graphic programs that are going to be used are Autodesk Maya and Zbrush for Modelling the computer will be used mainly for modelling and a little render for portfolio so it doesn't matter the wait time for the renderer(but still not to be too long like hours) :)

Here is the build I came with:

I'm planning on using all the fan spots on the fractal design case and to change my cpu cooler fans with noctuas

I was told that those two programs use mainly cpu thats why I switch from Xeon Processor and that I would need more ram but I plan on getting one after a while :)

also I'm going to buy it in Germany so my price range is arround 2000 Euro for the PC and 300 400 for peripherals like the fans and monitors

think that this is all

Pretty nice.

Overkill on the power supply.  Anything above 430w will power that just fine.

I was planning on the Seasonic X-650 but it didn't exist in pc part picker and was to lazy to add it :D

do you really need a firepro? if you don't need the firepro extra's you can save some money and get a gaming card.

They're much, much better than gaming cards for rendering, though.

But if he's gaming, a firepro is going to be complete shit.

no gaming on this rig I have PC for games this would be stricktly working(maybe in the distant future I could add secound video for gaming but I doubt it) :) thats why I chose fire pro and I've read somewhere that they are better that nvidiq quadro k4000 and k2000d and the price is better so ... ;)

Yeah, if this is for rendering and working the workstation card will haul quite a bit.  I don't think that adding an identical card works with workstation cards, and even so the performance would still be cruddy.  I think(THINK) that you can put a gaming GPU alongside a workstation card and choose which card to render and game from, but again, I'm not sure.
