Yup I am guessing the I/O die will be the savoir of this problem. Zen looks super iterative. Just depends if they can keep the latency down and windows plays ball.

A CPU die and an IO die is totally Alien now.

I can imagine the lag in the wires etc :slight_smile:

Then I remember the Amiga with a chip for CPU, Audio, Video and it killing.

Serious lack of details and benchmarks by AMD. Intels got nothing but chilled cooler Air.

Im frustrated to actually know if its great or good or ok.

The whole keynote was a 90 minute striptease. They wanted to show you a little skin, as it were, regarding what they’re capable of, but not show their hand quite yet. Also, if we had seen a multi-die system with low-ish clocks, we won’t be happy.
