err i have 1 CCFL which when i turn on my computer, it's barely lit, the bottom is dull and top is a reddish color, it warms up to full capacity after a while, unlike the other one which is instant, should i just disable the bad cathode? will anything bad happen?

no there COLD cathodes they do not produce heat but i would take it out just to be safer
