Cathodes Exploding?

err i have 1 CCFL which when i turn on my computer, it's barely lit, the bottom is dull and top is a reddish color, it warms up to full capacity after a while, unlike the other one which is instant, should i just disable the bad cathode? will anything bad happen?

It's a faulty one.. No need to keep it.. Just incase.

Buy a new one.

but any chance of boom?
