But I'm concerned about the cooling. My case is a Fractal Designs R4 comes with a pair of their R2 fans 140mm variants, front and one top rear. I've only got to worry about cooling a locked 6350 and a Direct CU 2 7870 Ghz Edition from ASUS
Are there any 140mm fans with integrated speed controllers similar to the Antec Tri-Cool series that you guys would recommend?
Preferably in the sub 16$ USD range?
The idea of spending 30$ on a Noctua fan gives me the heeby geebys
The included fans will be plenty even if you keep the integrated fan controller on low. There is lots of air in the case for heat to spread, and the 140mm outlet in the back is enough to take care of it. In case you still would like to add a second intake to make sure all the air coming in is filtered, a third of their R2 silent series fans would do nicely. They're pretty nice at low speeds, and low speed is all this system needs.
Just in case you're using the stock cooler that came with the CPU, something a little better could lower the noise considerably. The included ones tend to be horrible, though I'm not entirely sure which edition the 6350 comes with.
I think I might be boned on the CPU Cooler included.
A lot of people are complaining about it, thing comes with no paste. a couple complaints about it's noise level at max RPM something like 5400 RPM apparently. I'm hesitant to order anything else form Newegg for a couple weeks due to my PC's guts getting delayed despite being on a more expedient shipping schedule then the case.

honestly if they are still available the scyth gentle typhoons are amazing and so are delta 5k rpm fans but you need a fan controller. as much as i would love to give noctua credit as the best i love my delta's yes its loud at full tilt but it cools like no other.
