Just wondering how I should clean my fans. Should I just stick it under the faucet and let it dry for some time or will it damage the fan? Or shall I just do it the traditional way with a dishcloth?
Kinda lame question, just me wondering XD

I take it out in the workshop and blow it with an air compressor
Efficient but not an option for someone like me...
Dishcloth, it's too easy to get water in the motor under the faucet.
Use Lysol wipes. Dust is a mixture of dead skin cells, dried feces of dust mites and the least of your worries...cotton. I've found that Lysol Dual Action wipes leave no residue or unwanted odors behind and clean very good, not to mention fast drying and not overly moist. They're thick enough that you could probably use two wipes for your entire PC depending on the thickness of the dust. Hope that helps.
Damn! They could use you for a commercial! XD
Thanks for the recommendation. I will keep an eye out for some next time I go "shopping for survival" :)
Ha! Anytime man.
I haven't tried the Lysol brand wipes before but avoid Clorox brand wipes they do leave a semi-sticky residue on what ever you clean them with. I've used them to clean the outside of my case and it didn't turn out too well.
The way I clean the inside of my case is by just using a microfiber cloth to wipe the fans and the surfaces clean, microfiber cloths don't leave behind any fibers and they attract dust so they work pretty well.
