So I've seen a lot of people asking this question with usual problems how Fraps is ridicules on HW, how Dextory is complicated,...and so on.
Long time ago I was the asking myself the same question up until I came across a post in dark corners of Ethernet..That I think got it right.(yeah cant find source, will add if I do)
The result is video 1920x1080 @30FPS using about 3,4Mb/s (~12Gb/h) and to give you an idea of video quality here is a couple of screenshots:

How's done
It's done with Dextory using x264vfw codec wich compresses video in real time.
What's needed
- dextory
- x264vfw codec pack
Installation
- install dxtory
- install codec pack
- reboot (not shure if restarting dextory is sufficient) and dextory should automatically recognize codec pack
The settings
- in the third tab set folder where video will be saved
- in fourth tab set hotkey(s) for capturing
- in fifth tab copy EXACTLY as it is on screenshot

- in fifth tab click brush(?) button (that has been highlighted) and set this:

- in eight tab it's good idea to set "video limit" same as monitor refresh rate, set "processing threads" to max/half of your CPU threads(or whatever works four you). If you have SLI/CF checking "Multi GPU Fix Code" might help.
- fill crap out of YouTube :)
Hope it helps!
