I have been following LevelOne since day one but until today felt like I could never really contribute to this community.
But now I can. Wendel uploaded a Video today (ITX Motherboard) in which he said that he needs an USB Capturecard. I have a spare HDPVR 2 lying around and am not using it.
Now I need your help, how would I go about contacting Wendel and asking him whether he still needs it and how I could send it to him?
I am really sorry to bother you with that, but I have tried to find the private message function for the better part of 15 minutes now. I can't seem to write a message but I can see that I have not recieved any. I have also tried to find anything in the search but without success. Could you maybe help me out here?
That would be awesome! The guys from Epiphan reached out and sent us a usb capture already as its been a couple videos now I've been point-at-camera mode. I haven't fully set it up but Im going to review it too! hahahahahahaha
I can always use more if you're sure you want to send it -- are you state side or international?
When you review it, can you specifically talk about Linux support? Capture cards are always frustrating to shop for because few are "officially" supported on Linux and they're always so friggin expensive. Having a card where the manufacturer actually cares about Linux would be awesome
I had this one, it doesnt work in linux at the time I had it before it died. Im currently testing an Epiphan avio 4k capture, on linux, and it's working brilliantly. even usb!
Awesome!! Thanks! OBS's new "studio mode" plus a little creativity with programs like CasparCG could actually probably turn a Linux box into a video switcher that rivals professional offerings like the Blackmagic ATEMs or even the TriCasters. I'm excited to see how OBS continues to improve.
