Capture Card vs Capture Program?

Hello, so..

What is the benefit of having a dedicated capture card like an aver media one or what ever vs using dxtory?

This is the card i'm talking about https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mr8PyEpOeeQ but after that video i'm not too sure.. I want to be able to record in 60fps and 1080p but have high quality like dxtory but I don't want to dent my CPU, HDD space ISN'T a problem.

Capture cards are more expensive but software is harder on the rest of your system.

Haha maybe.. Mainly looking for hardware/programs for a bit of everything, desktop and game recording. It seems so far that maybe Dxtory is the way to go but I really don't want that CPU hit if I can avoid it :/

You're running an Ivy Bridge i5 so you shouldn't take too much of a CPU hit. Of course it depends on the game(s) you want to record too.
