Hey,
I cannot set up my two 24 in. monitors with my new 42 in. Tv. Any recommendations on how to set this up. My GPU is an XFX AMD 7950. When I try it it shows one of the screens on the personalization menu on Windows 8 a grey out compared to the other two screens.
Plug one of the screens into the Mini Display port
How do you have them hooked up? Most likely, your second DVI port will share the same lane as the HDMI, so they can't be used at the same time. One of the monitors is going to have to use a displayport connection.
as stated before its preferable to use the display port; if you have enabled dvi-d on your gpu it will disable hdmi lane on most 7900's models.
So best way(without dp ports) I think would be:
2x 24' monitors to dvi (single) 1x TV on HDMI; Catalyst Control Center usually is dumber than windows screen properties - so it'll be better to use windows and set it up as you wish.
I have my two dvi ports hooked up for my two monitors and one hdmi for tv.
Do you get a lower resolution when you use a mini hdmi port?
